Having no idea what I was doing as a first time home buyer, and having been out of the area for over 24 years, Linda's knowledge and experience were critical in getting me through this high stakes, long term investment process. Having an answer to my questions and concerns quickly and being informed of what steps came next in the process gave me the space and peace of mind to focus almost exclusively on the parts of the process that were important to me, like selecting the home itself. Without her experience it would have been a lot more difficult to take the time I needed to make decisions I was confident about. There's a lot involved with the process and having an experienced agent helps tremendously, especially if you have no knowledge or experience with the process yourself.

About two months ago, my partner and I found ourselves in a situation in which we were abruptly faced with changes to our future living situation. The apartment that we were planning on moving into unexpectedly fell under, and we were unable to find another apartment that allowed us and our pets to move in. We were faced with a short timeline of needing to secure a place to live before I began a new job in the Bangor area. My partner and I began discussing our options and decided that buying a home was the best option for ourselves. We first contacted Linda Gardiner to find out about a property that she was the selling agent for. Linda quickly informed us that this house was not available, but took a few hours out of her Saturday evening to develop a plan for us and set up viewings of a few other homes that we were interested in. Due to COVID-19, we had to facetime Linda to do our
"showings". Linda was extremely thorough and excellent at utilizing this platform to make sure that we saw the good and the bad of each home we viewed. We were very nervous about not being able to physically "see" a home in person, but with Linda's attention to detail, we quickly realized that she had our best interest in mind. When we found our home, Linda was very proactive and notified us of a pending offer that had yet to be reviewed. Thankfully, her prompt action gave us the chance to put in an offer on our home before it was too late. Throughout the time that we were under contract, Linda worked diligently on our behalf to gather reputable contractors from the area to gather quotes on repairs to address with the sellers. Thanks to Linda's quick work, we were able to make address these issues with the sellers and renegotiate for a mutual commonplace. Without Linda's attention to
detail and organization, we would have bought a home that needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Linda's negotiating saved us a huge amount of time, money, and frustration. The process of buying our first home has been stressful enough, but Linda made this process flow as seamlessly as possible and made sure that we were educated and aware of all aspects of the sale.
